Working on the concept for Nike Air Max 97, Christian Tresser was trying to combine incongruous things into the harmonious design: progressive materials, metallic finishes on mountain bikes and even ripples of water in puddles. The Nike Air Max 97 became the symbol of fashion evolution although sneakers spent less than a year on store shelves. The process of evolution became the main source of inspiration for our team. It's strongly connected with the world we live in and the things we create. Which is why we placed the sneakers underwater – after all life started from there. The project depicts the combination of the natural process of evolution and technological progress – two essential principles of human development.
