However, there was no life left on the Earth when they had just arrived, and unknown materials were abandoned everywhere. Mechanical creatures, Mimikers, cannot distinguish them from life and attempt premature mimiking, so that they become useless, not life nor machines, that imitate human heritage, waiting endlessly for Earth's life that will never return.
