Our friends at Red Square, a company that produces devices for gamers, have launched a new line of gaming keyboards inspired by Asian aesthetics. To promote this collection, they approached us with a challenge — to create a commercial that not only showcases the product’s advantages but also captures the viewer’s attention through story, atmosphere, and visual style. The key was to find a native and emotional approach: instead of talking directly about the product, we aimed to spark curiosity through mood and storytelling, leaving the viewer with a desire to learn more. The target audience for the video was young people passionate about gaming, anime, and pop culture. The video was distributed as pre-roll ads through influencers and media within relevant communities. The KITSUNE and PAKURU keyboard models were brought to life as anime-style characters and became the main heroines of our animated commercial. Each girl was given a distinct personality and character, inspired by the visual design of the keyboards We placed the heroines in a storyline familiar to every gamer: Pakuru is upset after losing a team match and blames Kitsune for the defeat. In response, Kitsune uses her magical abilities to send Pakuru on a thrilling journey through multiple dimensions. We filled the commercial with love for gaming culture: the locations are rich with references to iconic video games — from fan merchandise in the girls’ rooms to more direct visual nods in the worlds Pakuru travels through. The project was warmly received by the online audience — we received numerous heartfelt comments about how much viewers enjoyed the video.
