About this video
This spec film is a personal reinterpretation of the iconic Herman Miller Aeron chair, aiming to transform its traditional image as a static, premium object into a vibrant, dynamic partner for creators. The core concept of 'vibrancy' is brought to life through three key elements: rhythmic movement synchronized to an upbeat soundtrack, a progressively expanding color palette, and dynamic sound design. A central creative challenge was harmoniously blending the chair's established brand identity with this new, energetic style. The solution was found in an homage to Herman Miller's classic poster designs, with the opening scene showing a 2D logo emerging from a frame into a 3D world. This 'flat' aesthetic was intentionally carried throughout the film by using an extreme telephoto focal length, creating a unique visual where 3D objects appear almost like 2D graphics. As a motion designer who relies on the Aeron chair daily, this project is more than a product showcase; it's a personal tribute to a piece of truly great design, expressing the trust and admiration I have for a tool that supports my own creativity.
