The power of play. For the past few years during my spare time, I have mindlessely tinkered with polygons. This little activity has been quite liberating. Suddenly making me realise how powerful ‘play’ is in the 'creative' world. As creatives we are often get locked down with sets of guidelines and rules; we become hesitant in our actions, afraid to make mistakes, to use our sense, to loosen up and give a direct perception to one's work. We seem stuck in a set of preconceptions that endlessly condition us. I found that carrying out this activity was a simply marvellous way of discovering fresh new structures and harmonies that draw parallels to that of nature. Leonardo da Vinci: 1.
